GARLAND Issue 6

Call: Across space and time, there have been myths, gods, and demons. Long before us and long after us, pantheons have risen and fallen, deities have been created and worshipped, and then often forgotten. We still speak of the great Greek gods and goddesses, the major Norse figures, and even Egyptian deities, and I believe they have had their time to shine. I am eager—no, yearning—to hear about lesser-known, underappreciated myths. Surprise me with tales of unsung heroes, of pantheons long forgotten or erased from time. Teach me something about what your culture used to or even still believes in. Make it speculative, make it confessional, make it a lyrical journey—but most of all, bring these figures back to life.
